of 21 being treated at Penn State Hershey Children's Hospital.
Patients over the age of 17 must be a full-time student/dependent child.
Parents under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a responsible
adult relative or legal guardian during their stay.

Are there geographic
restrictions?

Families must reside outside of the immediate
Harrisburg/Lebanon area--at least a 30 minute drive from Hershey.
(Priority will be given to families traveling greater distances.)

Do you take
reservations for rooms?
A.
NO; you should call the House to make a room
request when you need a room or as soon as you know your future arrival
date. Rooms are filled on an "as available" basis and cannot be guaranteed
until the scheduled day of arrival. The House may be full and
operating on a wait list basis when you call.

How many guests can
stay in a room?
A.
The maximum number
is 4. Some rooms can only accommodate 3 adults. Cribs are
available.
(Four guests maximum; exceptions must be approved by Manager. One room per
patient family.)

When is check-in?
A.
Guests must check in
and complete an orientation between the hours of 9:00 AM and 8:00 PM
before using the facility. Registered guests have 24 hour key access
to the building.

Can I be placed on a
"wait list" if a room is not immediately available?
A.
Yes. If you
are on the wait list because the House is full, you must call back at
least once daily until space is available. Discounted motel rates
are available at local properties for lodging alternatives until rooms
become available at the House.

What do I need to
bring with me for my stay?
A.
Any personal items that you may need while
away from home. You will have clean bed linens and towels provided
when you check in. We also have an assortment of personal care items
(shampoo, soap, etc.) and food items for use during your stay.
