"In June, our trip home from vacationing in New Jersey took a detour when our son, Jimmy, became quite ill. We were very fortunate to find Penn State Children's Hospital where Jimmy underwent emergency surgery and subsequent surgery on his abdomen. The type of support given by Ronald McDonald House in the time of crisis can not be measured by any means until you personally need the help and receive it."

After the ceremony everyone made it indoors to enjoy lunch before the torrential rain began to fall! The greatly anticipated construction project will add 20,000 square feet for 15 bedrooms and additional living area, and 8,500 square feet of renovations to the original House. The expansive shared spaces will include a new kitchen, dining room, living room, play room, as well as a family computer center, administrative offices, large multi-purpose rooms, a post-bone marrow transplant suite and much more.
