Guidelines For Grant
Applicants
These guidelines are provided to help your organization
prepare a complete grant application.
Funding Considerations:
To be considered for funding, an organization must be
designated as not-for-profit and tax exempt, as defined under IRS codes, 501 (c) (3).
Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central
Pennsylvania (RMHC) is most interested in organizations that have:
* A program that directly benefits children
* Consistent and effective management
* Clear goals and objectives
* A broad base of funding
* A demonstrated ability to respond to the needs of specific groups in a manner
that yields measurable results
* A request to fund specific programs
RMHC of Central Pennsylvania DOES
NOT fund:
* Advertising or fund raising drives
* Partisan, political, or denominational programs
* Salaries, travel expenses or general and administrative costs
* Intermediary funding
* Endowment campaigns
* Requests not in writing and not accompanied by a grant application
Please keep in mind: Because
of the volume of requests and community needs, the maximum number of consecutive years
that grants will be made to one organization is three. Subsequent applications will
be considered after a minimum one year waiting period.
Counties served by RMHC of Central Pennsylvania grant
program:
Adams, Dauphin, Cumberland,
Franklin, Juniata, Lancaster, Lebanon, Perry, Schuylkill, and York.
The RMHC of Central PA office is located at the Ronald
McDonald House of Hershey--745 West Governor Road (Rt. 322), Hershey, PA 17033-2304.
REMINDER: The latest audited financial statement and a
letter from the IRS stating the tax exempt status must be included with the completed
application.
